Speakers Bureau

HCI Care Services' Speakers Bureau is a core of trained volunteers who are knowledgeable and passionate about end-of-life issues.  Many of our speakers have had personal experience with HCI Care Services and enrich their discussions with their stories.

Our speakers can discuss a variety of end-of-life issues, including:

Hospice Care: An Overview explains hospice care, HCI Care Services' history, services, eligibility requirements, team approach and coverage for services.

Coping With Loss addresses the stages of grief and offers suggestions for coping with the loss of a loved one.

Death and Dying explores the emotional needs of terminally ill individuals, signs and symptoms of approaching death and keys to communicating with the dying.

End-of-Life Planning discusses the importance of end-of-life planning and how to prepare and use advance directives.

Volunteers: The Heart of Hospice explains the importance of HCI Hospice Care Services volunteers, opportunities to volunteer and training.

Pain Management and Symptom Control examines how HCI Care Services' team works to provide compassionate comfort care.
