Types of Gifts
Hospice of Central Iowa offers many opportunities to give in a manner that is meaningful for you:

• Memorials:  Honoring Memories
  Honor the memory of someone close to your heart by creating a memorial in his or her name.  Hospice of Central Iowa is often chosen by families to receive memorials in the name of their loved ones.
• In Honor Of:  Celebrating Someone Special
  Honor someone special to you by giving a gift in his or her name.  An In Honor Of gift is a great way to commemorate a special occasion such as a birthday, holiday, wedding or anniversary.
• Matching Gifts:  Maximizing Your Gift
  Many companies offer a matching gift program, which can double the size of your donation to Hospice of Central Iowa.  Check with your employer for details.
• In Kind Gifts:  Gifts of Substance
  Your resources are valuable to us.  Please contact the Hospice of Central Iowa Foundation at (515) 274-3400 if you have a special talent or business which could supply equipment, supplies or other items which could be used by the patients and families we serve.
• United Way:  Designating Your Gift
  When you make a contribution to United Way, you can designate your gift to Hospice of Central Iowa.  Generous donors have helped make Hospice of Central Iowa the #1 donor option choice in central Iowa for many years.
• Membership:  Your Gift = Your Voice
  Become a member of our organization by making a contribution in any amount.  As a member, you have a voice in the leadership and future of the organization at our annual meeting held in the fall.
• Community Memorial Services:  Remembering With Us
  Each year, we remember our patients with a special memorial service in each of our service areas.  Trees are lit in conjunction with our annual service, and you can remember someone special by designating a light on a Community Tree.
• Special Gifts:  Creating a Visual Memory
  Donor Wall – Supporters giving $5,000 or more are recognized on a donor wall at The Bright Center, 401 Railroad Place in West Des Moines or on the donor wall at the Bright Kavanagh House, 3000 Easton Boulevard in east Des Moines.
  Memorial Brick – Gift values or combined memorials of $250 or more can personalize a special brick paver to line the landscaped walkways of the Kavanagh Houses.
  Tree of Life – Gift values or combined memorials of $1,000 or more can provide a personalized leaf on the Tree of Life, a special indoor memorial tree found at each of the Kavanagh Houses.  The leaf serves as a permanent honor or memorial for those that have been special in your life.
• Wish List
  Choose from a list of items to donate including linens, equipment, personal items, household items, kitchen equipment and outdoor items which are needed by our patients and their families.
